A Little About Me

Hey there! I’m Cadence Busch — a Christian Birth Doula, Childbirth Educator, and Student Midwife serving the DFW area. After being around birth so much while growing up, God put it on my heart to pursue birth work, and He very much blessed my pursuit while all the more growing my passion for it. In His sovereign timing, I was able to begin my journey into birth work by becoming a doula; and now, I’m honored to get to participate during this sacred time in a mother’s life; whether that’s supporting as a doula, assisting as a student midwife, or educating as a childbirth educator. I am passionate about teaching women that God has designed their bodies exactly for this purpose and that they are capable, with the help of the Lord, of bringing new life into the world. My desire is that mothers will find their repose and rest in the Lord throughout their entire pregnancy and that they may experience the profound joy that comes with the birth of a new baby. As I strive to support, educate, and equip couples with the knowledge they need for a calm, positive, and beautiful birth experience, I want to remind them that every step of their birthing journey is in His hands.

Birth Doula support

“One of the most positive developments in maternity care is the addition of the birth doula, who guides and supports women and their partners continuously through labor and birth. The doula usually meets you in advance, is on call for you, arrives at your home or the hospital when you need her, and remains with you continuously, with few breaks, until after the baby is born. The doula is trained and experienced in providing emotional support, physical support, and nonclinical advice. They draw on their knowledge and experience as they reassure, encourage, comfort, and empathize with the laboring woman. The doula also works with the partner, guiding and assisting them on how to help, suggesting when to use particular positions, the bath or shower, and specific comfort measures.”

~Penny Simkin, The Birth Partner

  • "I am extremely thankful to have had Cadence at my birth! She not only knew when to let me breath but also when to step in and help ground me! I am terrible at communicating in the moment but she was on top of everything that I needed and more!

  • So so grateful for Cadence! It's funny how even if you've done all the work, made a birth plan, read all the books, birth stories and listened to all the podcasts; you can still get lost in the moment. That is when your doula steps in and I'm so glad Cadence was there!

  • Thank you so much for everything you did to support us throughout our birth journey, Cadence. We truly couldn't have achieved our birth plan without your guidance, encouragement, and calm presence. Because of your support, we were able to have the birth we hoped for and welcome our baby without an epidural. Your knowledge, patience, and belief in us gave us the confidence to keep going, even during the hardest moments. We are so grateful for your care and will always remember the important role you played in one of the most meaningful days of our lives. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

  • I invested in Cadence’s services very late in my pregnancy, around 37 weeks, and even though our time together was short, I felt nothing less than completely supported by her. Cadence helped me through a challenging VBAC with an unsupportive provider, and had I not had her by my side, I truly don’t know if I would have had the confidence to advocate for myself and continue believing in my ability to have the birth I wanted. She was encouraging, knowledgeable, calming, and unwavering in her support. She made me feel heard and empowered during a time when I often felt the opposite. Having someone in my corner who believed in me and reminded me to trust myself made such a difference in my birth experience. I am so incredibly grateful I found Cadence, and I would recommend her to any expecting mom — especially anyone preparing for a VBAC or simply wanting someone in their corner who will truly support them. Our time together may have been short, but the impact she had on my birth experience was anything but. My only regret is that I would have committed to a doula sooner!
