Doula Support
CPR, BLS, NRP, TENS Certified
A well-trained doula knows when to step in and offer physical support, encouraging words, and helpful suggestions. But she also knows when to step back, when to hold space, and when to offer a silent prayer.
As your doula, I’ll offer hands-on support with a variety of different comfort measures to help you manage labor pain with confidence and to remind you that every wave brings you closer to meeting your sweet baby.
I’m not there to replace your partner. If your birth partner wants to be an active participant during your labor, I’ll show them how best they can support you, then step back and allow you two space, while checking in and giving suggestions when needed.
Throughout your labor, I’ll provide you with continuous emotional support by offering encouragement, reassurance, and a calming presence. Whether it’s a grounding touch, rhythmic breathing, or a prayer, I’ll be right there with you as you move through the beautiful and powerful transition of bringing your baby from your womb into the world.
I am passionate about providing you with the support you need to have your desired birth experience, as well as preparing you for postpartum success. I want you to be able to avoid unnecessary interventions by ensuring that you are well educated and informed of your choices throughout your pregnancy, labor, and birth.
Doulas have impacted birth outcomes statistically by providing their clients with 39% fewer cesareans, decreasing the use of Pitocin by 31%, shortening labor time by 41 minutes, and increasing spontaneous vaginal birth by 15%.
